A Scheme Manager is required to join the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights in order to administer and evolve their apprenticeship scheme.

The Worshipful Company of Shipwrights promote the onboarding of apprentices across the maritime sector and have been instrumental in the formation of many young peoples careers over the years. Working hard to open up opportunities within the leisure and commercial markets, the Shipwrights are a great advocate for skilled training at a young age.

With apprenticeships being a key part of the organisation, an opportunity has arisen to recruit a Scheme Manager to oversee and promote the scheme. Reporting to the Clerk, this role will consist of the following key duties:

- Visiting and encouraging maritime employers to recruit 3/4 year apprentices
- Working with local and national training providers, industry bodies and media in order to promote the scheme
- Co-ordinate information regarding funding for employers
- Act as a point of contact for apprentices and employers on scheme information
- Provide rgualr reports on the state of the scheme

As an individual you'll need to be passionate about the marine industry and its evolution. Showing clear ability to work remotely, you'll be organised, outgoing and a strong advocate of everything you do, grasping every networking opportunity as a chance to spread the word! Furthermore, an understanding of budgets and co-ordinating with small businesses will be key.

This is a great chance to join a charity that works to exceed expectations for all involved and to further your career within the marine sector.

On offer is a salary of £30,000 per annum plus expensed travel.
