The SAP Security & Authorisation Analyst role is based within our Babcock Corporate Services (BCS) business unit

Babcock Corporate Services (BCS) is a global function, with our largest site being Lakeside in Portsmouth, but we operate from multiple sites around the world. BCS supplies and operates all IT, security, procurement, and finance Shared Services. We are embedded alongside the operations that we serve, enabling us to maintain close working relationships that support delivery to our customers. We drive standardisation, simplification and automation across Babcock, to help generate sustainable value for the group and our external customers

The role

The difference our new SAP Security & Authorisation Analyst will make

As a SAP Security & Authorisation Analyst, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll play a key role in the SAP organisation, being responsible for the analysis, design, configuration and support of the SAP Security and Authorisations area, to meet the user access and security needs of Babcock cross divisional back office processes.

Day to day, you'll work closely with our customers, business owners and the SAP team to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance SAP security and authorisations.

Essential experience
A University degree or relevant experience in Security or Information Management
Hands-on SAP Security support and configuration experience, with more than 3 implementations
An understanding of SAP Authorisation concepts in an Enterprise environment (Single/Composite roles and role derivation)
SAP security technical skills, covering the main functional areas and Basis components
An understanding of key business process risks and an awareness of Information Security principles
Must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role
