My client is a leading manufacturer in their market with a fantastic brand, strong heritage and followers who truly live and breathe their values. This is a brand new facility which is world leading in Research and Development. There is a team of engineers on site working on new and exciting products while staying true to the brand. This role is integral to a business who really value their employees.
This role is titled Facilities Manger however it is much more than this. This role is an all-encompassing facilities role with maintenance and health and safety under this persons remit. Your role will be about delegating and ensuring that everything in this department is being done, using the resources at your disposal such as the facilities coordinator. You need to be a strong delegator and project manager.
You will do everything from managing the relationship with contractors and cleaners to site security. You will ensure that fire, gas and CCTV systems are up to date, fire evacuation procedures are in place and all of the gas and fuel on site is being stored correctly. You will manage the relationship with the builders on sites, the relationship with the landowners and be part of the team managing site improvements. Regarding health and safety, you will create and run the health and safety committee, ensure everything is in place and being followed and culture is being improved.

• Either a Maintenance, Facilities or Site Management background with Health and Safety experience
• Manufacturing or R&D experience is essential
• NEBOSH Certificate
• Common sense approach
• Very organised and not fazed by a fast paced and demanding role that can day to day
• Trustworthly and transparent
• Good communicator and project manager
