As a Safety administrator you will be part of a team driven by safety excellence and will be integral to the company and their expanding customer base. In this role you will be responsible for providing support on the upkeep of company Risk Assessments and SSOW's, undertaking basic Health and Safety inspections when the H&S manager is unavailable, providing support and minute taking for Health and Safety meetings, the administration and collation of statistics in order to prepare monthly and weekly dashboards, as well as assisting with other general administration duties.
Although the job title for this role is safety administrator, this role really has the potential to be so much more than this as the candidate grows and develops further. Our client is looking for someone who, along with dealing with all the administrative documents and data coming through the department, will look at the role in an analytical way; analyse data, spot trends and make recommendations upwards to the team.
As a Safety administrator it is essential that you have had demonstrable experience in a previous safety administrator role, with excellent MS Office skills, written and verbal communication skills, excellent organisational skills and an extremely professional and helpful approach. This role requires a good basic understanding of Health and Safety and a result we can only look at candidates with an IOSH "working Safely" qualification or similar.
A valid driving licence is also an essential.
An engineering or manufacturing background would be beneficial but not necessary as well as an Office Administration or relevant diploma/certification.
In return you will receive a salary of 320-25k pro rata per annum, dependent on qualification and experience.
