The Safe Systems of Work Supervisor role is based within our Marine Engineering & Systems business area.

At our site in Rosyth, we aim to deliver engineering-led and world-leading products and services across our engineering, specialised manufacturing, gas handling systems and naval marine businesses.

The difference our new Safe Systems of Work Supervisor will make

As a Safe Systems of Work Supervisor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. The role is within complex shipbuilding, to support Babcock's current and future ship design and build programmes.

Day to day, you'll provide direction to the Safe System of Work Manager, to ensure that the defined programme strategy for Safe Systems of Work enacted to contribute to best-for-programme outcomes. You'll also provide help and direction to less experienced team members to support both their effective working, and their development. You'll drive a quality learning culture, recognising best practice, and ensure continuous implementation of improvement ideas as well as formally LfE throughout the programme lifecycle.

Essential experience
Degree or HND/HNC level qualification in Electrical engineering discipline with experience in relevant field.
Membership of a recognised professional institution.
UK Security cleared or able to achieve UK clearance.
Experience in Lock out tag out system, confined space process and Shiphaz
Efficiently utilize employees in the execution of the contracted work, ensuring that start/stop times, attendance standards, behavior standards
Establish and ensure that safe working practices and the working environment is in accordance with the Company policy.
Experience of writing Safety documentation including Risk assessments
Ability to work hand in hand with subcontractors ensuring site policy and processes are adhered to.
Good understanding/experience of working in a Delivery Team.
Comprehensive understanding of working in a programme environment.
A Background working in Electrical industry
