The role
As a Royal Engineer Equipment Specialist, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be responsible for maintaining the stability and performance of the tools, equipment and machinery to support operations.
Day to day, you'll conduct regular maintenance and inspection to ensure equipment is functioning properly, deal with low level maintenance repair on bridges, storage and removal of the bridging, use power tools and hand tools and keep records of resolution and incidents.
A highly self-motivated individual who must be capable of working unsupervised in all weather conditions
Ensuring all operations are conducted safely and that any H&S concerns are highlighted and improvements are suggested
Must be able to use hand tools and powered tools also bench mounted power tools
Operating MHE on all variants of Royal Engineer Bridging (REB) equipment
Assisting in the Inspectorate of Engineer Resources (IER) certification of REB
Assisting the IER team during the inspection of REB
Essential experience of the Royal Engineer Equipment Specialist,
Ability to use power tools and hand tools
Use own initiative
Be proactive
Ability to work well in a team or on your own
This role is based onsite at Ashcurch.
Qualifications for the Royal Engineer Equipment Specialist,
FLT License
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
