We are looking for a Children`s Services Residential Care Worker`s to provide inspiration and guidance for our young people at our New Home Opening`s

Located in the Bolton, Wigan, St Helens & Newton le willows area, with shops, local facilities and good access to transport links nearby, our new Home is registered for young people from 8 to 18 years old with Learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and emotional/behavioural issues, who need a minimum of 1:1 and, sometimes, 2:1 support.

The opening of our brand new solo home`s will offer a stable and welcoming environment where our young people are central to everything we do. As the new Residential Care Worker, you will be emotionally strong and driven to make a difference day to day. Most importantly, you will get to really understand our children and their backgrounds, making sure that their needs are at the centre of everything we do. You will be approachable and detail focused, ensuring that our children’s safety is assured at all times, and that all protocols and regulations are fully adhered to.

Shifts 10am-10pm with your sleep-in attached- This is a additional £30

Salary £8.90-£9.45 per hour

(For staff that are not qualified to Level 3 in Children's Residential or equivalent)

£9.45 per hour if you are qualified to Level 3 in Children's Residential or equivalent

After successful completion of your probation, we would expect you to be committed to passing your Level 3 Children's Residential, which the company will provide.

Sleep ins incur an uplift of £30 per shift on your salary.

Duties & Skills

The working day can be very unpredictable and you could find yourself spending the entire morning Organising activities and the afternoon providing 1:1 support. No two days are the same. The right type of person needs to be flexible, adaptable and to be able to read situations and help our young people make positive choices.

The type of day-to-day duties

· Providing encouragement (getting ready for school)

· Care Planning

· Transportation (use of company car)

· Meal Planning

· Meeting the needs of the Children and Young People

· Organising and facilitating Social Activities (out of school

· Maintaining the home (laundry, cleaning shopping etc.)

· Liaising with external Stakeholders and our own multi-disciplinary team
