Location: Various (London)
Pay Rate: £11 per hour (day rate), £17 per hour (evening rate), £23 per hour (night rate)

Key responsibilities of Reprographics Operator:
  • To complete allocated jobs from team leader through the use of on site equipment, ensuring that the highest level of quality is produced
  • Accurately processing in-coming user requests via email and Symphony

  • To reproduce high quality documents to client specifications using high speed reprographic and finishing equipment within the DMC
  • Using knowledge of equipment to ensure work is produced in the fastest, highest quality
  • To have a full understanding of workflow processes and procedures. To include:
  • Processing and actioning incoming user requests via email
  • Producing accurate work tickets through Insight
  • Support colleagues and work as a team in order to achieve the best results for clients
  • To ensure all work is the highest standard by ensuring quality checking is actioned on all documents
  • To accurately complete daily administration, ensuring that all components utilised during production are recorded in quantity and description
  • To regularly check stock of stationery
  • To monitor and report any equipment failure to the relevant suppliers
  • All faults to be detailed in equipment log book
  • In addition all faults will need to be highlighted to the team leader
  • Ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum. Highlighting to the team leader any arising issues that may have influence on production quality, including copy quality and procedural developments
  • To ensure the Copy Centre is kept clean and tidy at all times. All rubbish bins to be emptied when they become full
  • Ensure that Health and Safety policy is adhered to at all times
  • Ensure Shearman & Sterling's IT policies and adhered to at all times
Appropriate usage of Internet and email
  • To support and train reprographic operators where required
  • To 'own' problematic jobs within the Copy Centre and see them through to a successful conclusion
  • Client focus
  • To meet and greet all clients in a courteous and helpful manner
  • Advising where appropriate on the best method of production
  • A full understanding of the customer service functions
  • To ensure all possible deadlines are achieved and managed in conformance with service level agreement
  • Any potential failed deadlines are reported to team leader/ lead operator prior to deadline time, to allow re-negotiation with requestor
  • Highlight any potential issues with work to the team leader, with their assistance ensure that clients are informed of progress on production of work
  • To assist within incoming copy centre telephone calls. Endeavouring to answer all calls within three rings
