We are delighted to be recruiting for a new Reporting Analyst for our partners, a major player in the utilities sector.
This role is required to support the Service Reporting Manager, and the reporting needs of the business and their Wholesale Market Services operation. The successful applicant will be expected to produce and present reports on Wholesale performance within the Non-household market to a number of different stakeholders.
What makes this role unique?
This will be an opportunity to present data and reports to Senior Managers to assist the business with key insights into performance. You will be responsible for analysis of data and identifying trends, to enable the business to provide insights for improvements.
What will this role involve?
Within this role you will produce monthly/weekly/daily operational performance reports, including Operational Performance Standards for the Market Operator, and performance reports for our Wholesale Customers. You will provide data analysis to identify areas for improvement and liaise with the Service Improvement Manager to begin the process for improvement. You will be required to produce ad-hoc service reports, and analysis of this data, monthly analysis and validation of peer reports produced by the market operator and support the reporting manager by liaising or attending meetings with key internal and external stakeholders.
What skills are we looking for?
You will be known to have a strong background in analytics and reporting, with strong numerical skills.
You will have experience of providing detailed reports and working to tight deadlines.
You will be known to have a high attention to detail and good communication and presentation skills and are proactive in your approach.
You will be able to demonstrate that you are fully competent at using Office software, particularly excel, for example pivot tables, graphs and dashboards creation. Knowledge and experience of VBA and macros is desirable.
Knowledge and experience of Power BI would be very beneficial.
It would be desirable to have knowledge of commercial markets, whether that be within utilities, telecoms, banking or another relevant industry. If you have worked in the water industry before, then that would, of course, be a definite plus.
Information & Salary
The role is based in Reading, offering a salary between £28,000 and £32,000 dependent upon experience.
