We need a Repairs Surveyor with direct experience in damp and condensation to independently undertake property surveys, diagnostics, problem solve and ensure works are seen through to resolution. Much of the work will be in relation to dealing with damp and condensation problems, diagnosing and specifying to mitigate or address this and supporting customers with advice on management of condensation control. This is a permanent role primarily based in Lichfield but with travel requirements across Staffordshire and the West Midlands.
Specific requirements of the role include:
- Actioning requests for general minor works estate improvements such as lighting, fencing and landscaping
- Being the first response to any insurance-related incidents such as fire or vehicle damage. Also ensuring that insurers and loss adjusters are involved in a timely manner, and then assisting them with reinstating works, agreeing schedules, monitoring works and arranging any ancillary works
- Scheduling works and managing contractors and consultants to an agreed cost and quality resolution
- Adhering to health and safety legislation at all times
Candidates must have a strong understanding of the causation, diagnosis, effect and solutions to damp and condensation. You must be aware of relevant compliance, legislation and regulation requirements. You must have demonstrable experience in a similar role and in a similar industry, and it would be beneficial to have a HNC or above in Construction.
Due to the nature of the role, candidates must have a full, clean driving licence because you will be provided with a small commercial van and a fuel card.
