Job Description

Are you looking for flexible working hours?  We are looking to recruit Relief Support Workers who are flexible and enthusiastic to work in one of our supported living services in Handsworth Wood, Birmingham.  At this service we currently support three men in their 40’s -70’s, who have a learning disability. We currently have two relief support worker roles available.

As a Relief Support Worker, flexibility is essential for both yourself and for the service, as you may be required to work a variety of different shifts throughout the week, including mornings (ideal for you early risers!) afternoons and evenings.

Do you want to make a positive difference to people’s lives?  For some people, Support Work is something they'd love to do but life makes it difficult to commit to a full or part time position. That's where the role of a Relief Support Worker comes in! It gives you the flexibility to choose the shifts you want to work, based on your availability and the needs of the service.

About the Service

The individuals in the service need support with their medication, personal care, finances and daily living tasks- although they like to be as independent as possible!

The gentlemen attend day centre during the week, some more than others, but when they are at home they have a busy schedule and love to be out and about, but will require support when going out in the community.

The adults we support enjoy a variety of hobbies which include going to the cinema, colouring, watching TV shows, such as Big Bang Theory & Good Morning Britain. It is very important that you enjoy supporting the gentleman with their interests.

For further details of the people you will be supporting, please click on the “additional information” attachments at the bottom of this advertisement.
