The role will play a key part in developing and streamlining our external reporting, ensuring ‘one version of the truth’ across all our reports and promoting consistency.
There is significant interest in our reporting, both internally and from shareholders, regulators and other stakeholders.
This role will have significant exposure to these different audiences and therefore be high profile. The role will work closely with the Financial Control team to ensure robust and consistent financial reporting.
Key responsibilities will include:
Within this role, you will be managing the timely co-ordination and preparation of interim financial statements along with the timely co-ordination and preparation of year-end financial statements for all group companies.
You will also be managing the timely co-ordination and preparation of the Annual Performance Report and managing the process for preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts for non-trading entities within the Kemble Water Holdings group.
You will be handling the process for preparing and reviewing the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting process for non-trading entities within the Kemble Water Holdings group, alongside providing technical advice to the business (mostly IFRS and Regulatory Accounting Guidelines).
You will be managing the process for responding to Ofwat consultations, delivering regular financial and regulatory external reporting training to the business and leading relationship with the external auditors.
Lastly you will be deputising for the Head of Financial Reporting and Control.
To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:
- You will have an understanding of management/statutory/regulatory reporting requirements.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and management.
- Pay strong attention to detail.
- Must have strong communication skills and strong technical knowledge.
- You will have the ability to work to deadlines.
- Confidence to challenge the status quo.
- Must be able to drive continuous improvement.
