Clinical Queue Managers

Band 6 Salary

Location: Winchester

This is a Fixed Term contract until 31 March 2021

All Office Based

In partnership with our client we are currently recruiting several NHS Pathways Trained Clinicians (Registered General Nurse, Paramedic and ECP) who are interested in an opportunity as a clinical queue manager to support the covid-19 team and monitor the incoming Adastra queues and using their clinical judgement to ensure that the calls are being prioritised correctly according to patient need.

We need to ensure that there is 24/7 coverage and therefore we can offer full time, part time and flexible hours.

What does the role consist of?

As a Clinical Queue Manager, you will be required to work as an autonomous practitioner to support other clinicians and practitioners within the operational environment using knowledge, skills, critical thinking and professional judgement supported by clinical assessment software Cisco and Adastra
Liaise and communicate clinical information verbally and via technical links, with health economy partners to ensure continuity of care for the caller.
To maintain and ensure clinical safety and maintenance of a high-quality service to those patients who await call back from the clinicians having been referred by NHS 111 (including Online users) and the Covid Response Service (CRS):Requirements:

Recognised professional qualification, e.g. registered general nurse (RN1, RNA), ECP or Paramedic
Valid registration with NMC / HPC
Recent clinical experience
Tele and clinical Triage experience
Extensive post registration clinical knowledge
Audit, evaluation and clinical governance experience
Experience using clinical software (such as Adastra, TPP, CLIO)
Customer services
Able and confident to raise safeguarding concerns with clinical leads
Confident in dealing with complex calls in emergencies and out of hours
Previous shift working experience
Experience of supporting others in clinical practice
Able and confident to speak to GP'sDue to the urgent need to provide support we are holding telephone interviews this week with start dates in October.
