A fantastic opportunity has come up to work for a fast growing and dynamic business as their Regional SHEQ Advisor covering East London with your base in Rainham. You will work under the leadership of the SHEQ director who is inspiring, innovative, ambitious and ready to enact change in an industry that is keen to move forward. You will be a key piece of the wider HSEQ team, driving the safety standards up and improving the perception (and reality) of health and safety.

This will be an all-encompassing health, safety, environmental and quality position focusing on the key risks on site are machinery, fire and fleet. You will motivate, coach and encourage all personnel in SHEQ matters. You will assist in ensuring that the company operates within the limits of its environmental permits and potential breaches are brought to the company's attention. Training must be kept up to date, you will chair the HSEQ committee and ensure that audits and internal processes are managed to minimise risk.

You must be someone who is enthusiastic, dynamic and approachable. You will be someone who will effect change, will get stuck in and is keen to get involved and work as part of a team to achieve the challenging goals that have been set and embed these into the culture. Although you have the support of the team, you will be self-motivated and can work autonomously. You must still be knowledgeable and have an attention to detail, be the go to person in your region for all things HSEQ.

Background and Qualifications:

• Working in a HSEQ Advisor currently or alternatively in a Health and Safety role with exposure to environmental and quality.
• Waste and recycling would be beneficial but if you have seen safety done well in other high risk industries such as; nuclear, power generation, high level construction, pharma, petrochemical, high risk manufacturing etc. that would be essential.
• ISO 9001,14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 experience.
• NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum.
