About the role:
The Operational Technology (OT) Support Manager (Regional) will be an experienced technical service professional with the responsibility for the delivery of end to end BAU services for the OT business area, ensuring they are fit for purpose and support the delivery of defined business outcomes. They will provide detailed technical support to the water & waste operational areas when dealing with the Thames Water Regional SCADA systems (excluding Site SCADA).

Reporting to the OT Service Manager, they will provide management support and leadership for the team of 6 Regional systems engineers, who provide first line maintenance and support of the existing Regional SCADA hardware and software (ClearSCADA). This team provides essential 24/7 support to aspects of Regional systems for the water and waste treatment and distribution operational areas. This requires the management of the service delivery expectations with business and Thames Digital stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:

Directly managing Water & Waste Regional BAU service delivery team to ensure the business continuity and fundamental reliability of the OT operational systems for our internal customers (Operations, and Control & System Operations).
Water & Waste Regional BAU Service Delivery – Ensure that all OT operational services are fit for purpose and work as part of the overall programme delivery team to support project activities
Monitor the OT service desk for Regional related activities to ensure they are allocated to the correct resolver group/team member and that completion is monitored and measured to demonstrate compliance of SLAs.
OT Service Catalogue – support the Service Manager in reviewing and managing the current business service catalogue for OT and develop further as required
Financial management – drive efficiencies and cost containment as an integral part of OT service team management. Look for areas of development and continuous improvement, so we are getting the most from the existing budget
Supplier management – Work with OT Service Manager to identify where robust contractual requirements are needed to deliver quality and cost-effective services.
Service Level Management – Work with the OT Service Manager to define, manage, monitor, review and report on service level requirements and agreements.
Service Reporting – Ensure the provision of regular and accurate management reporting on OT Water Service performance through the OT service desk to demonstrate the level of resources are appropriate
Developing a high performing, engaged team, with clear performances management, and development plans in place for each member. Develop relationships with key stakeholders to identify and promote talent development and succession planning within and outside their own team. 
To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

Educated to degree level or equivalent in technical area
Extensive direct experience of technical delivery in specialist areas SCADA/ICA
Experience of managing conflicting demands and able to prioritise own and teams demands
Good interpersonal skills and is experienced at dealing with stakeholders. Proficient and effective communicator.
Proven problem solver with the ability to make balanced decisions considering technical, operational risk and customer needs
Possess knowledge of the water industry, utilities sector or similarWhat’s in it for you?
