The role
As a Regional Facilities Cluster Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll have an active part in the successful business delivery of all Day to Day FM Services and Sites within the Regional Cluster. Ensuring Customer Services, performance and budget targets are monitored and met using a balance of internal self-delivery teams and external contractors.
Day to day, you'll manage a Facilities support function across several geographical sites and across the Babcock Group FM department. To provide a professional support service to the Group Property and Facilities Department, supporting and working cooperatively with all employees to pro-actively planning Staff activities and ensuring all processes are followed to a standard appropriate to meet business needs.
To lead the FM service delivery teams and sub-contractors to manage and maintain the property and services to all customers and stakeholders
To effectively manage specialist sub-contractors to ensure overall best value and quality of services
Develop and deliver an effective project management approach to support business change and business improvement plans, proactively identifying new opportunities for efficiencies in service delivery and improved Value for Money, whilst maintaining a high-quality service
To effectively manage delegated budgets ensuring monthly monitoring of spend, trend analysis, exception reporting and remedial actions for any under/overspend
Support the development and implementation of Business Continuity
Establish and maintaining regular interaction with appropriate cross-function departments
Provide coaching and mentoring to Facilities team and other colleagues as and when requested
Essential experience of the Regional Facilities Cluster Manager:
Sound knowledge and understanding of working within a repairs and maintenance service
Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant regulatory and legislative requirements and British Standards
Sound knowledge and understanding of finance, budgets, contract management and customer liaison
To undertake necessary training to become the Responsible Person for Legionella Management and asbestos
This position is a 40-hour working week and has an agile approach. There will be requirements to travel to Babcock sites when needed, includes a car allowance and is a full time and permanent role.
Qualifications for the Regional Facilities Cluster Manager:
National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Nebs / ILM / IWFM) or equivalent & NEBOSH General Health and Safety Certificate or be willing to achieve this within 12 months of taking up the role
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
