What does The Education Network do?
We recruit teachers, teaching assistants, and other school support staff and place them into a wide range of local schools in roles lasting from one day to one year as well as permanent posts. For this we need a strong team to recruit fabulous staff. Our small team needs to cover sales, resourcing, talent attraction, school engagement, HR, administration, payroll, accounting, IT, and management - and with so much going on the role of Recruitment Coordinator is vital to making sure everything runs smoothly!
What does a recruitment coordinator do?
" Fully support our very busy Primary Team Leader in all aspects of the recruitment process
" Respond to emails and general queries. You will need to be able to build great relationships with a wide range of people and to deal with problems patiently and swiftly.
" Review job boards and contact individuals to ascertain what candidates are looking for. You will need to be personable, inquisitive, and be able to find out as much as information as possible for our consultants to use in 'selling' our candidates to schools.
" Process key recruitment checks for new agency staff. Compliance regulations for all files are stringent and require an eye for detail and be able to work to strict standards, gaining an awareness of HR regulations and policies
" Assist with candidate availability checks by contacting individuals and updating systems accordingly.
" Advertising roles on a variety of job boards. You will need to be able to write persuasively and engagingly to attract responses.
" You will need to be able to act quickly under pressure and change priorities at the last minute to meet the business's needs.

The coordinator role is a key one. You will be covering a wide range of tasks, including HR, admin, sales, consultancy, payroll, resourcing, talent attraction, and account management. There is scope for development into more advanced roles in each of these areas according to your strengths, and you will gain broad experience of a busy business environment which will be invaluable in any future activity. What skills and experience do I need?
There is no one profile we look for. We are seeking somebody who is quick to learn and can balance a wide range of competing tasks and priorities. Although it may sound cliché, as a small team we are also looking for a team player.
An interest in recruitment and/or education will be a significant benefit. An understanding of the key roles in a school and the different teaching qualifications will also be beneficial and if invited to interview we will expect you to read up on these.
