Business Development Manager 

Speedy Services are currently looking for a Coordinator / Account Manager to join our specialist Rail supply function based in Newport. The main element of this role is to support our customers on Rail projects through the supply of equipment; ensuring everything runs smoothly by using your organisational and relationship building skills.

Main responsibilities

The role will be field-based and will require you to develop and grow existing customer relationships to understand potential project needs for the customer and ensuring the hire process runs smoothly and any issues relating to supply or demand are addressed quickly and professionally.

The main elements of the role will consist of:

Business Engagement

  • Build a strong network of working  relationships with site managers, site supervisors, project manager, supply chain manager and suppliers,  for delivery in a project-controlled manner, ensuring that everything is in place for the project needs.
  • Ensure company procedures for on/off hire, loss, damage back on hire are adhered to
  • Raise customer orders as per their request
  • Ensure service issues are resolved day to day
  • Ensure recurring issues are rectified and the relevant people within Speedy notified
  • Attend daily / weekly operational meetings as required
  • Be fully aware of the delivery performance onsite
  • Work with end users who require new product and or technical advice and facilitate this from Speedy services into the site.
