The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll work on Europe's largest construction project, Hinkley Point C, and work with contractors and fabrication shops to deliver high value contracts.
Day to day, you'll bring NEC contracts from concept to delivery.
Providing support and input to the procurement process during the Procurement phase (pre-award).
Providing commercial management of contracts during the execution phase (post-award).
Providing commercial management for the delivery of contract final account agreements (close out).
Responsible for ensuring that all Deliverables (see below) are implemented in accordance with NNB Commercial Procedures
Experience Required
Able to demonstrate a noteworthy track record of administering successful contracts.
Effective commercial / contract management skills are essential, with clear knowledge of best practice contract methodologies.
Familiarity with most common Forms of Contract (NEC & FIDIC) within the power construction industry and major projects and programme environment
Good understanding of the UK regulatory framework
This role is full time on site, with travel to suppliers and fabrication sites
Qualifications Required
Educated to relevant degree level is preferable
Progressing to full membership of the RICS / CICES / IOB or equivalent professional body is desirable.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
