Job Description

A family owned business specialising in roofing, cladding, rainscreen and envelope solutions, based in Buckley, Flintshire. are looking to appoint a new Quantity Surveyor

The role:

Working in Quantity Surveying on both new build and refurbishment projects. This is an opportunity to join a respected, stable and growing business and the opportunity to work on a number of exciting upcoming projects.

Role & Duties;

* Responsible for the financial control of projects up to £5m using JCT and the NEC suite of contracts.

* Reviewing and negotiating subcontract documents, including collateral warranties

* Applications for payment in accordance with contract terms and conditions

* Production of monthly cost reports and forecasting

* Preparation of delay notices in accordance with contract terms

* Processing subcontractor payments

* Picking up and valuing variations

* Settling final accounts with main contractors

The ability to work on your own initiative, whilst also being team player

The Company:

Based in Buckley, Flintshire. With over 35 years' experience of the construction industry, they partner with clients from inception to completion of projects worth up to £2million. Projects are commercial roofing, cladding, rainscreen and envelope solutions

The Person:
It is likely you will have previously worked as either a QS or Quantity Surveyor in a similar roofing, cladding, rainscreen and envelope solutions environment.

Ideally you will have experience both working for a main contractor and subcontractor as well as roofing/cladding experience.

Experience: * Previous experience with roofing cladding and rainscreen systems * Previous experience working with JCT and NEC suite of contracts and collateral warranties * Minimum of 5 years working as a project/lead surveyor * Estimating experience would also be of benefit * Previous experience as a main contractor QS might be advantageous
