Job Description

A well-established manufacturing company based in the Cwmbran area is seeking a Quality Senior Technician to join its expanding team.
Responsible for managing all departmental activities to ensure that products and technical service are compliant and meet both external and internal requirements, including customer expectation, legal, national and international standards.

As a Quality Senior Technician your duties will include:
Management of technical staff according to departmental/company standards, performance appraisals, discipline, training and development.
Set clear compliance objectives and ensure that targets are achieved whilst maintaining commercial awareness of the business context, company profitability and budgetary controls.
Manage, monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system and produce statistical data, graphs and reports on overall performance measured against defined parameters.
Liaise with nominated/customer specific auditors to ensure the execution of corrective actions and compliance in conjunction with any given quality management/social accountability specifications.
Asses the company and its suppliers and make comparison to specific requirements by the management of Quality Management activities. This to include: Range reviews, Risk Assessments, Supplier Reviews, Test and Inspection Reviews, R.E.A.C.HW.E.E.E/R.o.H.S and F.M.E.C.A. (Failure Mode Effect Analysis).
Ensure appropriate controls are enforced at supplier level to promote product compliance prior to shipment release.
Manage the planning and execution of product testing efforts, including all associated resources to meet committed delivery dates.
Where appropriate, implement change and provide departmental training, tools and techniques to achieve desired quality levels.
Provide effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance to plan.

To be a successful Quality Senior Technician you will have the following skills and experience:
At least 5 years' working in a QA environment
Minimum Degree Level in Quality Management
Environmental Management Systems
Knowledge of EN71 AND G.P.S.R
Knowledge of ISO14001

Full driving license and passport essential
