This position is responsible for leading the execution and deployment of the defined Strategic Quality Plan in conjunction with plant leadership. Providing Total Quality Leadership to customers, suppliers, partners and internal manufacturing cells. Leads continuous improvement activities in targeted areas. Manages the Quality Assurance strategy to ensure product flow consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Management of existing quality management system accreditations (ISO 9001 AS9100 and TS 16949 ) including procedures / quality manual etc. and update where necessary.
2.Liaise with key customers to ensure supplier quality requirements are fully understood and implemented.
3.Liaise with the workforce, suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure Client & customer quality requirements are fully understood and implemented.
4.Manage the Internal & External Audit Programs.
5.Manage the NCR process (Internal & External).
6.Maintain current MSA process including Gauge R&R.
7.Review & develop production methods / processes to improve productivity & reduce cost/lead time.
8.Assist specification compliance review at tender and contract stage.
9.Reporting on quality measures / issues at senior Management meetings
10.Lead and oversee the deployment and execution of Quality policies objectives, targets, goals, and Quality Initiatives
11.*Be a key interface with Sales, Product Marketing, and Manufacturing to meet customer's needs through customer contact. Positively communicates quality philosophy to customers.
The ideal person will have;
1.Excellent communication skills (written & oral).
2.Internal & External auditing experience
3.Management of on-site external audits
4. Experience of Six Sigma
5. Degree Qualified
6. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr) is preferred.
