This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a large Oilfield Services company that specialise in the manufacture of a range of market leading equipment for both onshore and offshore services.
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for QA inspection and release of assembly products and work on the calibration processes on a site wide basis.
You can expect to be leading on the following activities:
*Assist in the planning of and conduct internal audits.
*Support management of third party and customer audits and inspection activities.
*Support the QA function and product lines in the continual improvement of the QMS.
*Review, revise, approve and publish QMS documentation as necessary for QA function
*Monitor and drive the CAPA and NCR processes
*Be responsible for the technical mentoring of the calibration inspection staff
*Host CAPA/NCR meetings and liaise with appropriate staffing
*Assist in the preparation and approval of specific customer or product quality plans.
*Support Aftermarket in the processing of CAPA's and investigations resulting from SQE's as required.
*Supporting the procurement and production planning team in the Material certificate (MTR) validation process
*Review and verify welder's qualifications in line with required timescales.
*Support and offer guidance in respect of compliance to API/ISO specifications/standards as necessary.
*Liaise with suppliers to offer support, guidance and queries in respect of quality requirements
Having worked within the Oil and Gas sector already you should have experience with the following technical aspects of Quality Engineering:
*Experience of ISO9001/API & QMS management and development
*Knowledge of ISO17025
*Experience of a Fabrication and precision machining manufacturing environment
*Knowledge of quality and root cause analysis tools (Pareto, Cause & Effect, 5 Why, 8D, etc.)
*Working knowledge of oil and gas product standards, such as API 6A, NACE, ASTM, etc.
*Knowledge of Quality Management system requirements.
