Salary 24 days + 8 days bank holiday. Sector Engineering
Main purpose;

- To assist in maintaining the quality system and the development of the associated
processes.
- To support departments and Customers on quality issues and implementation of continuous
improvement.

Job objectives;

- Investigate internal and external quality failures through to root cause and provide
written cause and corrective action responses to improve yield and reduce cost of poor
quality. Monitor and report on monthly metrics.
- Providing support for new design activities including design reviews, quality planning,
First Article Reports, FMEA, NPI, Control Plans, Gauge R&R. Perform and support
inspection training using structured techniques.
- Providing support for new design activities including design reviews, quality planning,

inspection training using structured techniques.
- Participating in product and process improvement / Kaizen projects. Update Process
documentation.
- Audit product and processes for compliance against ISO9001:2015 and Customer
requirements.

Reporting/key relationships;

- Quality Manager / support quality system and compliance, monthly targets and objectives.
- Purchasing Team / Support supplier compliance process.
- Manufacturing / Engineering / Support manufacturing processes and ongoing project activity.

Governance;

- Annual Objectives.
- Monthly department reviews for CAPA / Cost of Quality / OTD / G-In performance.
- Weekly meetings to determine priorities of tasks and actions.
- Monthly One to one sessions.

Leadership and behavioral;

- Ability to communicate effectively at various levels of the organisation. Deputise for Quality Manager.
- Ability to lead system development activities and encourage /coach stakeholders during change process.
- Ability to link customer needs to business processes.
- Drive and enthusiasm to succeed. Results orientated.

Technical competencies;
- IPC 610 trained / Electronics background.
- Q.Pulse software experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Trained in compiling FAIR's / FMEA / Collating data for SPC analysis / Reporting on monthly metrics.

Characteristics and competencies;

- Self-motivated. Able to work on own initiative and be an effective team player.
- Attention to Detail and Customer focused.
- Ability to work to within defined timeframes in support of delivery.
- Hands on approach. Experienced in Problem solving skills.

Education/ Experience;

- 2 years in Quality engineering related to aerospace / defence / space manufacturing sectors.
- Qualified to minimum of HNC / HND with experience in Electronics Industry.
- Previous experience as inspector or test engineer.

Other requirements;

- The role is based in the Milton Keynes facility; occasional travel may be required to customers, suppliers and other
sites from time to time.
- Continuous Improvement, You will have responsibility to make suggestions on Continuous Improvement within the business;
expectations are around 4 a year. This responsibility forms part all employees' job description.
- It is essential to the role that all candidate must be eligible for security vetting.
