My client who are a globally recognised automotive company are currently seeking a UK based Quality Director to impact and influence their European based plants.
*Work with plants to develop and implement strategies and programs to effectively improve quality performance (Quality-Roadmap, Master schedule plan, Quality improvement plan) to achieve the external customer satisfaction quality requirement and internal regional goals.
*Tracking of all relevant MOSIAC Key indicators including corrective actions
*Leads Customer Warranty reduction programmes across the facilities & collate European warranty status for the region on a quarterly basis.
*Prepares Customer Portal Summary. Identifies continuous improvement opportunities to ensure green status and provide monthly portals status reports for the region.
*Audits conformance to internal and external quality systems to ensure effective compliance, communication, customer service and performance measurement
*Support plants to ensure achievement and maintenance of IATF16949 registration and customer specific standards as well as applicable legal requirements
*Coordinate Quality training/best practice sharing, implementation of shared resource programs and professional development activities to staff in quality relevant functions.
*Implement and maintain relevant-Software tools with support of Corporate Quality systems
*Champions Zero Defects philosophy & tool box implementation to achieve PPM & Written Concern targets
Skills and Experience
*5+ years' experience working in quality management or associated level with experience in automotive industry (Tier1)
*Proven leadership and management skills within a challenging environment
*Requires excellent communication interaction skills;
*Ability to work well with people, in a team environment, and to communicate effectively with people at all levels within the organization;
*Excellent problem-solving skills leading teams
*Knowledge of customer base, manufacturing processes and capabilities, company products, technology and financial requirements;
*Good Knowledge of Quality system standards, customer specific requirements. Quality core tools, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
*Experienced auditor for system and processes '(Quality essential - HSE desirable)
*Excellent motivator, self-starting, with an enthusiastic approach
