Job Description

Network Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Social Worker for the Contact and MASH Team to be based within Children Services in Buckinghamshire. This is a full time permanent position based at Aylesbury Police Station working alongside Children Services and Thames Valley Police. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to help safeguard and protect the children of Buckinghamshire.

The Contact and MASH Team is based within Aylesbury Police Station and is the first stop for all new referrals and concerns raised by the public. The Contact and MASH Team will see if the child is already involved with Children Services and pass to the appropriate team if so. If not, it will be treated, screened and investigated as a new referral. This role is more of an office based role.

This position will involve receiving calls and screening them to determine level of risk to a child and assisting the screening referral officers with complex cases. Information will need to be gathered to see if a referral for a more indepth assessment needs to be completed in which case the Assessment Team may need to be involved.

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must hold a degree in Social Work, have a valid HCPC registration, have previous experience working within a MASH Team or Assessment Team, be able to work well under pressure, have excellent knowledge of relevant child legislation and have excellent communication skills.
