Job Description

We have a brilliant opportunity for a Purchasing Manager to join a small but rapidly expanding company based in Oldbury.

The Purchasing Manager will be a temporary – ongoing contract, with a view for the right person to go permanent. The organisation themselves have a high number of contracts on board and are expanding at a very fast rate.

For the Purchasing Manager your responsibilities will be to:
• Manage the company's Purchasing and support system
• Upload all sales and purchase orders and maintain an up-to-date system
• Negotiating costings with suppliers and secure the best prices for materials
• Liaising with other departments and customers on all matters relating to materials and parts
• Resolve and investigating supply chain errors and examine root cause of analysis
• Oversee the team and support as and when needed
• Deal effectively with customer's returns and complaints
• Maintain the overall Yard and dealing with Storeman responsibilities
• Abiding by Health and Safely and ensuring implanting procedures if required

Requirements for the Purchasing Manager:
• An excellent telephone manner
• The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment where work must be tightly prioritised
• Excellent eye for detail
• Experience of working in an office environment
• The ability to handle multiple tasks at one time

Salary: dependant on experience

Working hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
