Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant to join their busy operations team within a manufacturing company in Redditch
Hours of work Monday- Thursday 8-5pm Friday 8-2pm

The role of a Purchasing Assistant includes:
• Negotiating costs
• Liaising with suppliers
• Building rapport and relationships so good customer service is essential
• Ordering stock and stock management
• Managing stock levels
• Negotiating rates for parts with suppliers and customers.
• Track the imports ensuring the carriers pick up goods in a timely fashion.
• Working to strict deadlines

As a Purchasing Assistant you will need the following:
• Experience in purchasing/procurement/ buying
• Experience ordering
• Excellent Customer Service and relationship building experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Driver's license
• Strong administration skills within a similar role
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Basic skills on excel

In return the successful Procurement/ Purchasing Assistant will receive a competitive basic salary of £20,000 depending on your previous purchasing experience, free parking 25 days holiday.
