Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Supervisor / Purchase Ledger Team Leader to join a continuously growing organisation in Southampton. This role offers offsite parking, competitive benefits package and a great opportunity for a Senior Accounts Payable Clerk to progress into a supervisory role.
The ideal Finance Supervisor / Purchase Ledger Team Leader will have excellent interpersonal skills and will motivate, support and develop a collaborative team of 4.
As the Accounts Payable Team Leader / Purchase Ledger Team Leader, you will be responsible for the following:
• Dealing with escalated internal & external queries regarding invoices and payments
• Managing the Accounts Payable team on a day to day basis
• Ensuring Accounts Payable processes are actioned within agreed SLAs and KPI
• Hand on approach, processing high volumes of invoices
• Supplier reconciliations
• Weekly payment runs
• Documenting new ledger processes and enforcing a stringent internal controls environment

To be considered for the role of Accounts Payable Supervisor you must have the following:

• You will have previously worked in one of the following roles – Accounts Payable Manager, Accounts Payable Supervisor, Accounts Payable Team Leader, Purchase Ledger Manager, Purchase Ledger Team Leader, Purchase Ledger Supervisor, Senior Accounts Payable Clerk, Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk, Finance Supervisor
• Understanding of end-to-end Accounts Payable and related functions and processes
• Strong people management skills
• AAT / qualified by experience (QBE) would be desirable
