Job Description

A forward thinking technological organisation in the Newbury area are looking to welcome a new Purchase Ledger Clerk into their friendly Finance Team. The ideal candidate will have Purchase Ledger / Accounts Receivable experience.

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk you will be reporting directly to the Management Accountant. Your key responsibilities include:

• Produce Purchase Ledger accruals for unauthorised invoices
• Handle staff expenses and payments dealing with confidential information
• Liaise between departments and with suppliers to maintain good working relationships whilst managing invoice queries
• Prepare supplier payments and process in an accurate and timely manner
• Processing purchase ledger invoices onto the accounting system
• Undertake complex supplier reconciliations
• Generate manual cheques for petty cash and any ad hoc requests
