Job Description

Public Health Consultant - 6 months - £(Apply online only)

This is a highly complex role working to improve health and reduce inequalities acrossa a Local Authority, working closely with CCG's and the NHS. The post holder will be responsible for the effective delivery of specialist public health advice to a wide range of stakeholders. They will be responsible for ensuring that optimum health outcomes for local populations are achieved.

Immunisation and vaccination experience is ideal but not required. UKPHR IS REQUIRED.

You will also be working on some COVID Outbreak key strategic pieces of work to support the delivery of local outbreak control and recovery plans, with the specific portfolio to be confirmed following appointment.

Responsibilities will include playing a central role in our response to COVID-19 and leading a variety of community-based health improvement programmes.

A good track record of working at a senior level in local government, managing staff and working across a broad range of public health areas will be a clear advantage.

To be successful in your application, you must be included in either the GMC Specialist Register or UK Public Health Register or be within 6 months of registration.
