The Role

As an experienced Project Officer, for Babcock's strategic submarine portfolio, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity for a project management / PMO professional with expereince who thrives on engaging wide groups of stakeholders to develop strategies for investment and the strategic plans to deliver business outputs. The role will develop innovative approaches alongside P3M methodologies to bring coherence and strategic awareness to the UK's £billion complex submarine programme.

Day to day, you'll lead the coordination and integration of diverse business inputs to form a coherent strategic programme for the Babcock Submarine business. You will be expected to deliver effectively by obtaining a deep understanding of the submarine enterprise's operation, the complex data that makes up its programme and the resourced plans in place to deliver it.
Developing innovative and highly effective methods of presenting strategic options, conclusions and recommendation for executive use, utilising outputs from other stakeholder such as data analysis and business planning. Focusing on web based interactive methods and solutions.
Analysing data analytics outputs, strategic programme schedules, people forecasts and financial forecasts to present executive visuals and associated strategic conclusion and recommendations.
Adapting and managing workload positively to meet changing business demands.
Delivering outputs to contract dates and as required by the business.

Essential Experience of the Project Officer:
Experience and understanding or project cost forecasting, modelling, budgeting and workforce resource management.
Ability to develop presentational concepts and formats for data and information that maximise effective and efficient communication and compelling decision making.
Practical experience of developing business case justification and cost benefit analysis.
Demonstratable ability to develop presentational concepts and formats for data and information that maximise effective and efficient communication and compelling decision making.
Ideally, you'll possess experience and/or a strong understanding of scheduling and MS Project and Primera P6.

This role requires for you to be onsite, full time.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
