The Project Engineer role is based within our Mission Systems business area.

The difference our new Project Engineer will make

As a Project Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll support a number of projects and opportunities within the Gunnery Programme, ranging from project delivery, operations and business development. This position offers good prospects for growth and advancement in the Project Management discipline and is a real opportunity to expand and develop new skills in an exciting and novel environment.

Day to day, you'll be responsible for the set-up and on-going maintenance of the project administration, keeping project control spreadsheets, databases and programs updated to ensure full control and visibility of the project and recording / collecting the progress of tasks / activities and keeping the project plan updated and readily available. You'll also be responsible for maintaining the appropriate project records, as directed to support the project responsibilities as well as analysing, vetting and interrogating the work specification to ensure a full and detailed understanding and interpretation of the Customer requirements.

Essential experience
Excellent stakeholder management
Experience within a project management environment
Proficient in the application of project management tools and production tools and how they are utilised throughout the project lifecycle
Comprehensive working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of tools including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project
You must be able to achieve SC clearance
