Apprenticeship L3 - Project Controls Location: England: Farnborough, Haslar, Portsmouth Technology Park, Malvern, Boscombe Down, Bristol Scotland: Rosyth Employment Type: Full Time - Permanent Salary: Competitive Salary + Bonus Schemes + Benefits Start Date: September 2021 Role Profile Project Controllers work directly in the business and functional areas. They are a key enabler to allow our Project Managers to deliver cutting-edge solutions to performance, cost and time objectives. They support with transforming a plan into a concrete schedule for delivery. Our Project Controllers are the primary resource who provide support to our Project Managers on a daily basis to ensure that all budgeting, scheduling and other activities run smoothly. Project Controllers are diligent, have an eye for detail, are strong communicators and have the foresight to spot any abnormalities in the data before it becomes an issue. Our Project Controls Apprenticeships provide a structured introduction to the profession, allowing you to combine academic studies with on-the-job learning. As your skills develop, you will take on progressively more responsibility until you are a fully qualified and highly competent QinetiQ Project Controller, acting as a vital member of a project team. Role Duties & Responsibilities You will be responsible for; Providing Senior Project Controllers with data and information to enable reporting and decision making in projects, including highlighting inconsistencies in the data/information. Providing the following project controls functions within the project team; MS Project, lifecycle briefcase, project reporting, invoicing and other project document creation and management. Work with the project team to monitor project finance, debtors, invoicing, cash collection and any other ad hoc tasks required. Supporting Project Controls improvement activity, and sharing knowledge skills and best practice. Attending and having a key input in project progress reviews and team meetings. Supporting the project team in maintenance of forecasts (both financial and resource demand signal) for sales and delivery which reflects the up-to-date expectations for the work.
