An interesting and unique opportunity has become available for a Production Planner to work with a very important automotive manufacturing company based in the Swindon, Wiltshire area on a permanent basis.
As Production Planner you will be working within the Business Control Team in the world renowned Manufacturing facility within a team of five, all who have a high level of planning experience supporting different divisions within the business. The team are responsible for short and midterm volume preparation.
Training and development will be provided to enable you to become the key interface of the manufacturing facility with other Company entities around Europe for all Planning related enquiries.
As Production Planner your role will be key in supporting the development of the Company planning systems to further enhance delivery to the business operation. With the introduction of electrification in the automotive industry, there are many exciting changes arising, which will allow for further business opportunities.
This is a key opportunity for the successful applicant to utilise their ambition to develop their career further to support future succession planning.
Preparation of monthly and weekly production plans.
*Creating yearly production calendar that meets both production and sales deadlines.
*Assisting with scheduling and communicating workload to production teams.
*Updating sales teams on the progress of orders and ensuring they are aware of any issues that will delay delivery to customers. (Being the link between Production & Sales)
*Preparation of New Model start-up and buildout plans.
*Management of supplier and factory constraints.
*Regularly preparing reports and presentations to be delivered to senior management.
*Support study of mid to long-term production plan requirements.
To be considered for the position of Production Planner you must have/be:
*Experience of Production Planning Experience ideally within the automotive sector
*Advanced in Microsoft software (PowerPoint, Excel & Word)
*Strong ability to investigate, analyse and problem solve is essential
*Logical approach to problem solving considering manufacturing constraints
It would highly advantageous to have:
*Strong logical understanding of Production Planning systems
*Educated to degree level, ideally Mathematics
*Proficient in the creation of short to midterm forecasting with a logical approach and be confident in explaining the results visually to senior managers.
