Job Title: Production Operators, various positions
Location: Wigan, Lancashire (WN2 4HT)
Salary: £17,000 - £19,500 (during initial training period dependent on role) + shift allowance
Increases to £19,000- £22,250 once fully trained + shift allowance
Shifts : Rotating 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm (Fri week 1, 6am-12pm, Fri week 2, 12pm-6pm)

Job Purpose
Filling Operators working on a rotating shift basis will be mainly in the manufacturing area involving operating automatic and semi- automatic filling and packing machines. Sealants, coating and adhesives will be filled into customer defined packaging such as buckets, cartridges and drums which will subsequently be palletised and sent for distribution. Chemical Mixing and Filling Operators will mainly participate in the manufacturing area involving the batch manufacturing of coatings, sealants and adhesives to highly controlled specifications. Batches are then filled a range of containers before being dispatched to customers.

Your duties will be:

o Loading, unloading and operating production filling lines.
o Carrying out quality control tests to set methods.
o Maximising productivity from all process equipment by minimising downtime and waste.
o Ensuring that the production plan is achieved.
o Monitoring, controlling and recording information on paper and electronic systems.
o Ensuring that mixing, packaging and labelling specifications are adhered to at all times.
o Undertaking any training courses deemed to be necessary to improve skills and abilities.
o Ensuring effective and timely communication with quality control, customer services, planning and other internal customers.
o Undertaking process improvement projects, internal audits and cycle counts as required.
o Chemical blending and filling to exact production standards.

Additional Information:
The Successful Operators will receive a competitive starting salary of £17,000 - £19,500 per annum (dependant on role offered), which will increase after completion of all training. Regular overtime is available and an exceptional holiday entitlement of 25 days plus bank holidays with service increase.
