The roleThe difference our new Product & Process Safety Engineer will makeAs a Product & Process Safety Engineer you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Performing all Process Safety Engineer tasks in support of winning and delivering large scale process-engineering themed projects for our key customers, ensuring that the business maintains its position as the world leader in the delivery of marine cargo handling and fuel gas systems for the transportation/storage of liquefied gas. End customers include major worldwide shipyards and ship owners.
Day to day, you will perform all process safety activities associated with marine and offshore liquefied gas plants, ensuring safe and economical design while striving for continuous improvement and contribute to risk assessment studies such as HAZID, HAZOP and SIL determination in the capacity of scribe or safety engineer as required. You'll also develop where required for individual project or clients Bow Tie analysis to provide enhanced understanding of the risk, and for SIL rated safety systems participate in the generation of Safety Requirement Specifications (SRS) and SIL verification calculations as required by BS EN 61511. You'll also provide consequence analysis modelling to facilitate risk assessment studies, marine facility layout and application of emergency systems such as water spray and passive fire protection.

Essential experience- Technical competence for the above responsibilities
- Clear and confident communicator
- Fluency in the English language (verbal & written)
- Able to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
- Good working knowledge of Product and Process Safety systems; HAZID, HAZOP, SIL and LoPA.
- Highly motivated with an attention to detail
- Ability to lead tasks and work to tight timescales
