About the role;
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to drive our global supply chain management. The successful candidate will plan and implement strategic initiatives that realise efficiency and operational savings by employing critical thinking, relationship management and expert negotiation skills.
The role includes responsibility of looking across all sites and regions to identify opportunities of consolidation, alignment and cost savings by looking at sourcing, inventory, and strategic purchasing agreements. The Procurement Specialist will support purchasing decisions in the UK and North America supporting the continued growth of the group globally.
You will have experience of purchasing within a global Engineering or IT industry, and in depth experience of managing a diverse supplier base in a technology led industry. You will also have a working knowledge of modern MRP systems and be confident and a highly organised individual, with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
You will have core skills in technical buying, strategic and analytical, supplier auditing, contract management and project and risk management.
You will enjoy working as part of a team with good communication skills and have an enthusiastic approach to work.
