Process Improvement Manager – Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

Reporting to the Operational Excellence Manager, the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt will deliver and support projects with the objective of driving the highest standards of operational performance across the Energy, Water & Air service delivery teams, in a fast past and dynamic environment.
As part of our Operational Excellence Team, the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt will be adopt an range of methodologies to explore, identify and deliver performance improvements across a wide range of functions and teams. You will use your deep understanding of Lean Six Sigma to help teams shape future proof processes that will enable our growth strategy, alongside ensuring we achieve the highest levels of quality, and operational efficiency.

Main Duties

• Support the development of our value chain based process architecture
• Capture and benchmark the current processes, procedures and ways of working across Mitie Energy's operational teams. Identifying any gaps, duplication, risks and opportunities to improve service delivery or operational efficiency
• Implement, communicate and manage adoption of new processes and provide on-going governance and ownership via the process team
• Support transformation projects which the operational excellence team will be responsible for, including but not limited to change management and business improvement initiatives
• Gather and analyse MI, ensuring KPIs are a true gauge of process and operational performance and aligned to the needs of the customer

Person Specification

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Experience in field operations or operational support roles
• Demonstrable delivery of Lean Six Sigma business improvement projects evidencing tangible results
• Experience of delivering Lean Six Sigma training and providing post-course project coaching
• Able to demonstrate self-reliance and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to adapt and adopt flexible business improvement approaches to drive the desired outcome
• Excellent knowledge of operational systems, reporting and management applications including Excel, Visio, Project and Access
