Location: National Role, multi-location therefore can be based from Manchester to Midlands. (Flexibility in terms of working hours and geography are paramount to this role).
The Process Engineer will be responsible for the documentation and measurement of site processes/activities, covering all aspects of the operation , resulting in Labour Standards and Standard Work Documentation that will be used in any GRIP implementation, Manpower Planning and ongoing Management Productivity reporting and process improvement activities.
The role will cover all CL Business Units and encapsulate a wide range of operational working conditions, which can entail shift work (AM, Days, Nights - variable depending on project requirements as well as at times outdoor process activity.
The Process Engineer will also be expected to document new processes, deliver any improvement opportunities identified during the process definition stage and to work within the companies methodology to ensure the improvement opportunities are captured and delivered as part of a structured programme of work.
Has Process Engineering experience and can demonstrate examples of working through a Project from beginning to end
Has a proven track record in the successful definition and delivery of business requirements definition and process mapping across complex operations and multi-functional work streams
Experienced facilitator and measures success based on output
Experience of Inventory/Warehouse Management Systems/Warehouse operations would be an advantage but not necessary
Proven ability to communicate widely at all levels, to be able to engage with and influence a variety of stakeholders
Ability to 'simplify the complex', and identify opportunities that can benefit the customer
Relevant operational experience in the Logistics / Supply Chain industry, with a good knowledge and understanding of Logistics processes and goods flows; covering i.e. Inbound, Put-away, Replenishment, Picking, Packing, Order Preparation, Value Added Logistics activities and Shipping. Furthermore concerning storage optimisation, stock accuracy and cycle counting would be an advantage but not necessary
Process engineering / Mapping - Visio
Advanced skills in all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Minitab & Outlook)
Lean and/or 6 sigma mind set and approach
Numerate / confident with Statistics
Work Measurement Qualifications in Work Measurement techniques particularly Time Study / Activity Sampling/ PMTS (MTM-1 , MTM-2, Core Data would be an advantage but not necessary)
Membership of the Institute of Management Services would be an advantage but not necessary
