This Principal Mechanical Engineer position gives you the unique opportunity to join a company with family, sustainability (of business and environment) and client satisfaction at the very core of their values.
Due to one of the team deciding to return to full time study, they are looking for a special Engineer with a mechanical building services background producing designs, specifications and ideas for innovative and sustainable buildings.
When discussing the markets in which they operate, it is easier to exclude those that they do not carry out a great deal of work; you are unlikely to be involved with a retail fit out scheme or a low budget commercial building refurbishment.
They do however, undertake projects spanning the headline grabbing and CV defining through to the more routine typical put out through framework agreements.
Lets just say if you are looking to be involved with sizable higher education, high profile art galleries or projects that other consultancies will shy away from due to their complexity, the chances are you are going to have a lot of fun here!
When applying for this post it is vital that you are currently working as a Senior, Principal or Associate level Mechanical building services engineer within consultancy practice .
You must also be Chartered with CIBSE and able to demonstrate a strong technical background coupled with the ability to liaise with external partners effectively and ideally have a network of contacts external to the business who you can win work from. There is scope for you to be based in either their Leeds or Sheffield offices depending on your home location and where your preference lies.
The organisation has a unique culture in many ways valuing work:life balance, sustainability of solution and relationship with all parties ahead of profit. They make money, but it is a side effect of what they do, and the way that they do it, not the pure focus.
