Job Description

Pertemps Scotland Ltd are working with our client in Glasgow to recruit for a Policy Manager in the Public Sector on a temporary basis for 6 Months with potential extension. Due to current circumstances this role will be based remotely. D/R - £275 - £350

These posts will provide an opportunity to develop and deliver policy that will have a direct bearing on the people of Scotland in both ensuring health outcomes but also enabling society and the economy to flourish. Main Duties
Manage and develop policy in key areas of the Covid-19 response, using evidence and drawing on scientific, clinical or specialist expertise as appropriate;
Provide high quality advice, and briefing to Ministers, often at short notice to tight timelines
Initiate, develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Proactively identify and address risks and opportunities within the policy area
Providing line management and support to junior colleagues
Ability to work autonomously, delivering challenging objectives in a fast-paced, high profile, politically sensitive environment
Experience of working to develop policy collaboratively with partners and stakeholders in sometimes challenging circumstances.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team to deliver challenging objectives in a fast-paced, high profile, politically sensitive environment
