Smart Teachers is seeking to appoint an experienced PMLD teacher who has a proven track record of teaching across Key stage 3 and 4. This post is particularly suitable for a newly qualified or experienced teacher who would like to be offered the opportunity to work a heavily oversubscribed school based in Newham. The successful candidate will have experience of supporting severe learning difficulties and profound multiple learning disabilities (PMLD)
The school pride themselves for the high expectations they have established for their students and staff with a view of ensuring their students have access to an education that offers them the best possible outcome as the next generation of leaders. The school currently have about 20 – 25 students in the unit with Profound and Multiple learning difficulties, the range of needs the unit caters for is very wide and skewed. The needs ranges from the Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy etc.
To be considered for the PMLD Teacher position, you will:
Relevant specialist experience and qualifications in your subject specialism with the ability to teach at Key Stage 3 and 4
SEN Teaching experience
Qualified Teachers Status
Be eligible to work in the UK (must have a valid visa)
Possess recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks.
