Salary: £dependent on experience
I am looking to recruit a Plant Mechanic to join a fantastic organisation in Gloucester.
You will be joining an company that are excelling in the construction industry.
The successful candidate is required to;
" Inspect all mechanical parts, spotting any defects, dismantling and repairing or replacing faulty components.
" Reassemble and test components to ensure they're working safely in line with manufacturer specifications
" Check new equipment before it's used on site
" Use customer and operator reports to diagnose and find faults
" Undertake routine inspections of engines, gearboxes, hydraulics, electrical systems, tyres and the plants' frame
" Keep comprehensive records of the work they do
" Work on building sites or in a workshop if they need specialist tools
" Use a wide range of hand and power tools, including sockets, spanners, screwdrivers, drills, lifting gear, and welding and cutting equipment
Salary will be dependent on skillset and experience and will be negotiable.
Requirements of the Plant Mechanic:
" Trade Certification - Heavy vehicle Engineering (Plant), NVQ LVL 3 or equivalent mechanic qualification or NVQ LVL 2 and substantial experience
" Time served experience as a Plant Mechanic
" Experience working on Heavy Duty equipment
" Strong understanding of the diagnostics, fault finding & analysis of Heavy duty equipment
" Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repair experience
