Job Description

A fantastic opportunity is available for a Plant Administrator to join a manufacturing company in south Birmingham on a FTC for 10 months

The role and responsibilities 
-Provide a comprehensive, efficient and accurate administrative support service to the Plant Manager, Operations Team and Departments as required.
-Provide support to the Finance & Controlling Department in terms of analysing and preparing reports on opex spend, overtime, manning and scrap.
-Raise purchase orders as required and deal with queries.
-Dealing with invoices for authorisation, responding to invoice queries, order raising and assigning GRN’s in line with budget tracker.
-Organise room booking and control key issuing.
-Control petty cash.
-Sort and distribute post and send out external post.
-Liaise with service providers e.g. cleaners, vending and photocopier services as and when required.
-Order and issue work wear including uniforms and safety shoes in line with yearly order allocations.
-Order, issue and control stationery.
-Polite and efficient answering of incoming calls, forwarding/taking messages. 
-Greet employees and visitors in a polite and friendly manner and provide support and assistance as required.
-Maintain up to date smartly presented notice boards.
-Control the booking and issue of the pool car, distributing keys as required. Organise cleaning, repair and service.
-Arranging taxis and hire cars as and when required.
-Provide refreshments as required for visitors, meetings and Senior Managers. 
-Maintain a safe working environment and actively support the continuing development of a safety culture.
-Carry out additional duties as requested to support the operation of the Plant.

To be considered for this role you must have strong Administration skills and advanced Excel skills within a Manufacturing background
Required experience:
-Previous proven level of competence in administration activities ie work of a high standard and completed accurately within timescales provided.
-Experience of budget control
-Experienced in the use of Microsoft packages.
-Advanced knowledge of Excel.
-Work on own initiative and as part of a team with the ability to remain confidential at all times.
-Work enthusiastically, flexibly and with a positive attitude.
-Ability to maintain a professional and polite approach to work in a busy and demanding environment.
-Organised and systematic.
-Analytical and diagnostic skills.
-Ability to handle and maintain confidential information 
-Excellent verbal and written communicator at all levels of an organisation

The company is offering a salary of £24,000 with 37.5 hour week, Monday to Thursday 8-16.30 and Friday 8am till 14.00pm
