Planning Technician Officer

Have you got experience with IDOX/ UNIform management systems?
We are looking for a Planning Technician to work as part of a Public Sector Body in their development management team to undertake planning application technical and validation work. This role contributes to the effective operational delivery of the Building Standards and/or Development Management Services within the Environment Department.
You will be responsible for the day to day performance and productivity within the service's regulatory framework and agreed metrics.
You will work with peer managers in the department (and wider council), to ensuring services are joined up services around shared customers - these may be members of the public, national developers, large retailers, leisure groups, social housing landlords, solicitors, estate agents and so on.
You will also contribute to embedding agreed service design in terms of roles, processes, ways of working and use of technology and the realisation of associated benefits and continually seeking opportunities for improvement.
