Adderley Green is a neurological care centre providing specialist care and rehabilitation to those with a wide range of neurological conditions. You will work across the units within Adderley Green, which covers complex care (including prolonged disorder of consciousness and tracheostomy care), neurobehavioral, neuro palliative, slow stream rehabilitation and dementia.

You will be supported by an experienced Therapy Team to be able to assess and provide treatment to our residents. You will be responsible for the assessment and management of residents to promote their independence and support long term management of their condition and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

As a Physiotherapist, you are responsible for devising, developing, delivering and updating individualised rehabilitation and/or therapy/support plans with peer support and supervision. You will be required to provide support, guidance and training to therapy and care assistants.

You will provide ongoing treatment, monitoring and support to service users' physical needs which will see you identify and source specialist equipment and advise on mobility and use of equipment.

With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you'll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of training courses to support you reach your career goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

Produce high quality, accurate and concise written reports and documentation
To work in partnership with Senior Physiotherapist, Therapy Lead, Unit Leads, managers and other practitioners in the effective management of caseloads, clinical prioritisation and development of clinical pathways
To work effectively with members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team and other related agencies to ensure an interdisciplinary service is maintained.
To attend and or lead multidisciplinary team meetings and/ or funding reviews and present appropriate Physio feedback accordingly.
To work flexibly and in partnership with the multidisciplinary team, to provide a holistic approach in meeting the needs of patients and the service.
To participate in all relevant clinical team and professional meetings to contribute to the optimum level of care for patients and ensure effective liaison with other agencies, families/carers and to contribute to effective team working and development.
To provide specialist advice, teaching and education to patients, families/carers and other professionals to promote understanding of the aims of physiotherapy interventions and to ensure a consistent approach to patient care.
To provide support to the management of the therapy team as delegated by and agreed with the Therapy Lead/ Senior Physiotherapist / and to be responsible for the supervisory management of relevant clinical staff including the implementation and monitoring of appraisals and identification of continuous professional development.
To use reflective practice and established outcome measures to evaluate treatment to achieve optimal outcomes.
To provide comprehensive assessment / costing / rehabilitation potential reports including recommendations for case managers, insurers, Primary Care Trusts, private organisations and local authorities.To be successful in this role, you will need:

Physiotherapy degree
To be a registered member of the HCPC
Previous experience within Neurology and challenging behaviour is desirable
Up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practice in the field of Physiotherapy
Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks and regulatory body inspection processes and documentation
