The Education Network is currently working in partnership with a school in Gateshead in search of a teacher of Physics. The role is initially a temporary to cover maternity, for a fixed term of up to one year, however there is an opportunity for the successful candidate to be extended or appointed on school contract.
In order to be successful in your application you must be confident and experienced in teaching Physics at KS3-4 and, preferably, at KS5. Although behaviour on the whole is good, it is still essential that you possess excellent behaviour management skills, and have an enthusiastic and engaging approach to your lessons.
Requirements for this role:
- QTS or other UK recognised Teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Physics at KS3-4.
- Knowledge of the new Physics GCSE AQA specification.
- A degree in a relevant subject.
- Experience in the classroom
- Have strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with staff, parents and students.
- Have excellent organisational and time management skills.
