Job Description

My client is an established business that has been stable throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and is now looking to employ a talented, ambitious, PHP Developer to join their vibrant, existing development team. This is an office-based role in Newcastle upon Tyne, which my client has made Covid secure.

Role responsibilities:

* Responsible for all aspects of a development task including writing up an initial spec, developing, testing and releasing to production

* Working with fellow developers, building new and exciting projects and assisting on current projects

* Developing both front-end and back-end applications

* Object Oriented PHP

* Adherence to SOLID principles, design patterns and other best practices

* Experience with a modern MVC frameworks

* Experience with MySQL and query optimisation

* Comfort with at least one JavaScript framework

* Experience of working using Version Control such as Git

Essential requirements:

* Be great at coding PHP

* Experienced using modern MVC frameworks

* MySQL databases


* Knowledge of CSS pre-processors and frameworks

* Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks

* Familiarity with Linux

* Git (Version Control) and using GitFlow in repositories
