Job Description: Managing Consultant - Perms
Location: Sheffield
Reports to: Associate Director 
Purpose of the Role: To maximise sales and gross margin through the timely placement of permanent candidates within the commercial market, providing service excellence to clients and candidates by embracing Blue Arrow’s promise  based culture.

Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Sales
h Manage and maintain an accurate client database and a programmed telesales campaign, including lead/prospect qualification, appointment making and business generation.
h Attend new business sales visits in order to secure permanent vacancies to work, fill and generate permanent revenue.
h Proactively promote permanent candidates through planned candidate marketing calls.
h Enhance the national and local sales initiatives by ensuring all appropriate leads are recorded for action in line with the company business development plan.
Recruitment & Team Development
h To fully understand the labour requirements of our chosen market sectors and ensure staff are trained and monitored in the attraction, selection, deployment and retention of available and appropriately qualified permanent candidates for local and/or national client needs.
h To recruit, motivate and retain appropriate team members and ensure the team are trained and developed to support business requirements and individual potential.
h To influence change positively and ensure this is embraced at all levels through effective communication and the adoption of a promise based culture
h To conduct competency based interviews independently utilising the Blue Arrow company framework
h To attend team and company meetings and communicate information effectively.
h To appraise staff in line with Company expectation and actively participate in the Company’s performance management programme.
h Proactively develop team members in line with career path levels.
  To review performance standards in line with the Company minimum expectations, ensuring personal
targets/objectives and KPIs are in place, understood, reviewed and met on a monthly basis
h To provide 1-1 coaching on the day to day operational aspects of recruitment.
Where appropriate identify individual and team training & development needs and ensure the appropriate development plans are put in place.
h Provide support and deputise for your manager as needed.
Service
h Ensure that all customer relationships are on a journey to achieving high road recruitment practices that are aligned to enhancing the lives of everyone that touches Blue Arrow
h Obtain full job specifications and person specifications from clients maximising each opportunity for placements
h Proactively visit clients to obtain full job specifications and ensure all clients have signed Conditions Of Business.
 Accurately match candidates to vacancies to meet client expectations
 Proactively arrange interviews, ensuring full candidate and client briefing and de-briefing
h Undertake a post placement check with both candidate and client.
h Systematically organise and attend client service visits.
h Regularly review customer satisfaction levels.

Key Performance Indicators:
Specific targets to be agreed with your line manager, which include:

h Number of placements
h Number of candidates registered
h Number of interviews arranged
h Number of vacancies taken
h Client retention
h Average placement value % at full fee
h Client base
h Direct interviews
h Interview/Placements
h CVs/Interviews
h Credits as % of gross margin
h Candidate marketing calls

Person specification:

h Holds REC Certificate in Recruitment Practice
h Commitment to complete Blue Arrow’s management development program
h Previous experience in recruitment
h Friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing individual
h Persuasive with excellent communication skills and the ability to sell concepts and ideas by influencing others.
h Self-confident and able to work within agreed standards and procedures.
